Geohazards in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains
Who is it for?
Specialist staff
The administration of the data in PostgreSQL / PostGIS takes place via QGIS Desktop (see picture).
The administrator manages the data that is stored in a PostgreSQL / PostGIS database via QGIS Desktop. He is shown the potential geohazard locations and sensor data in order to validate them if necessary. He is supported by automatically collected information from the systems. The data and information can then be made available to other visitors or specialist users via the GBD WebSuite controlled via a user and rights management.
Visitors
The website visitor can use the WebGIS application to display geo-risk locations and information from an early warning system for natural hazards in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains interactively on the basis of various background layers (aerial images, terrain models or topographic maps). He can move around the map, zoom in and out, measure interactively, select existing geo-risk locations and information from the early warning system, query available information and images as a data sheet and print it out or save it as a PDF.
Active
It is desirable that everyone can easily contribute to the creation of geo-risk locations. On the one hand via an iOS or Android app with which photos, the position of a potential geohazard location and a description of the situation can be sent to the server. On the other hand, via a corresponding module in the GBD WebSuite, if you have not been on the road with a smartphone but still want to report something.
