The course is for experienced GIS and QGIS developers from universities, public administrations and businesses and is an introduction to program your own extensions for Quantum GIS in Python.
Instructor is Dr. Marco Hugentobler. He works as a freelance programmer for Sourcepole, is Technical Advisor of the Quantum GIS project, and has developed many of the current QGIS features within the last years.

Topics of the 1-day training
- Licenses and their impact on programming in Quantum GIS
- Presentation of the QGIS API programming
- Creation of QGIS with Python plugins
If necessary and after consultation, it is also possible to extend or limit the course to the creation of C++ plugins.
Exercise material
For this training we provide extensive training data, a tailored exercise script and accompanying literature.
Required skills
Knowledge of Quantum GIS. Optimal is to visit the training Quantum GIS (I).

Costs
520 € + VAT - This includes all course materials, beverages and snacks, and lunch. Students, apprentices and unemployed people can participate at reduced rates, if the course is not fully booked.
