The GDAL 1.8.0 openSUSE packages have been enhanced with support for SpatiaLite. SpatiaLite extends the file-based SQLite database with geographic features and functions. The updated GDAL packages are available together with the libspatialite package in the Application:Geo Repository for SLE_10, SLE_11 and OpenSUSE versions 11.2, 11.3, 11.4 and Factory.
