Data Preparation


An important step prior to the analysis of spatial data is a professional monitoring and treatment. The data is usually available in different formats and projections and must be prepared accordingly for the project. Moreover, many different users usually apply changes to the data, which can cause errors that need to be identified and addressed through a control. 

Converting Data Formats We carry out the conversion of data and data sets into different vector and raster formats. In addition to the standard formats, we also offer to develop interfaces to specific applications.

Converting Data Models

We offer to convert data between different data models. By this we mean the transformation of vector data (points, lines, surfaces) to the grid model and vice versa. In addition, we also offer to convert data from 2D to 3D model, or the preparation of data for time series analysis. 

Converting Map Projections We project raster and vector data sets from an existing to another projection. We rely on the extensive proj.4 projection library, and can expand it as needed to the specific needs of a project. 

Topological Analysis We conduct topological analysis on vector data. Especially for data sets that are provided in the Simple Feature model, geometric errors occur frequently. The correction of data sets take place automatically whenever possible but, if necessary, manually as well.
