FOSSGIS is the acronym for Free and Open Source Software for Geoinformation Systems and is the leading conference on this topic in Germany. The conference runs from 20. - 22. March 2012 in Dessau, and is held by the FOSSGIS e.V., the OpenStreetMap community and the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) in cooperation with the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau.

GBD-consult sponsors the conference, will be involved in the workshop organization as part of the organizing team and provides workshops on GRASS, Quantum GIS and R. The plan is also to have a little QGIS / GRASS project booth.
