Shortly after the release of GRASS GIS 6.4.1 RC1 the second GRASS GIS 6.4.1 Release Candidate (RC2) was released on 18. March 2011. The software is available at: http://grass.osgeo.org/download/. GBD-consult contributes since 2006 to the project providing current binary software packages for various versions of the GNU/Linux OS openSUSE via the Application:Geo Repository.

Highlights of the GRASS 6.4.1 RC2:

Since the 6.4.0 release in September 2010 almost 400 source code modifications have been made, paving the way for the next 6.4.1 release. Much work was dedicated to the new graphical user interface and to the winGRASS port.
