The training course schedule for 2011 is offering as in recent years, many interesting topics around Free Open Source GIS and WebGIS applications. We have expanded the courses this year with numerous new courses . Thus, we offer more specific training for programming GRASS and Quantum GIS as well as courses on hydro-geological and hydrogeological modeling in 2011. New are two training courses on QGIS mapserver in combination with GeoExt and an introduction to geostatistical analysis with GRASS/QGIS and R-statistics. Since 2006, GBD-consult offers successfully GIS training courses. The concept of working together with experienced users and developers directly from the environment of each project as a lecturer, has proved successful and convinced our customers. In addition to regular trainings in Hannover we also offer again a GRASS GIS introductory course in the LinuxHotel in Essen. And if desired, individual and in-house training courses, workshops and presentations can be obtained, too.

The current program is focused on GRASS GIS and Quantum GIS and is supplemented by certain special applications, such as PostGIS or R-Statistics. The instructors have years of training experience with the particular software in German and English, at universities and in government agencies and businesses.

The range of courses covers topics for GIS beginners, administrators and developers. After the courses, all materials are provided to deepen the knowledge and each participant will receive a certificate of participation upon successful completion of the training.
