FOSSGIS Conference from 5.-7. April 2011 in Heidelberg

FOSSGIS is the largest and most important german conference for "Free and Open Source Geographical Information Systems (GIS)". FOSSGIS 2011 will be organized by the FOSSGIS e.V, the OpenStreetMap Community and the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) together with the Institute of Geography of the University of Heidelberg.

As in the last years GBD-consult is part of the organisation team again and helps to ensure smooth running of the workshop sessions and organize and manage project booths. Furthermore Otto Dassau will contribute workshops and talks about GRASS and Quantum GIS and a QGIS/GRASS booth organized by project members is planned again as well.

Workshops and Talks Otto Dassau:

  • Talk: "Neue Entwicklungen und Features vom Quantum GIS Projekt" on Mittwoch, 6th April at 10am. Together with Jürgen. E. Fischer and Dr. Marco Hugentobler.
  • Workshop: "Einführung in GRASS"  on 6th April from 3.30pm to 5pm.
