The third Quantum GIS User Meeting has been very positive. Despite the short notice, more than 50 QGIS developers and users came to Kassel at 09 September 2011 and have used the time to actively discuss, to learn about various aspects of the software and then practically learn in the three workshops.

For the first time the event was held in the northern part of Germany, after the last two meetings in Switzerland. The organizer, Dr. Claas Leiner and Otto Dassau have been pleased about the positive feedback and will certainly try again next year to provide another meeting . The surpluses of the event (more than 1000 Euro) went to the QGIS project.
